Took ya long enough. Aren’t you glad I brought this thread back up?
Sarah, a Seahawks fan…
Dear Mr. Newton,
I am a Seahawk fan, I bleed blue and green. Although I will be the first to tell you that today, we did not bring our A game, and were beat fair and square. There is one thing though, one thing that needs to be said. My news feed is filled with you Mr. Newton, and not in a good way.
A video of you pulling a 12th flag down and throwing it to the ground like garbage. You see the one that people don’t realize is, Seahawk fans aren’t just fans. The 12th man is a community, a family, that regardless of winning stand behind our team and our community. So you see Cam, disrespecting the 12th man flag isn’t just disrespecting our team, it is disrespecting the fans that back our team. A community that feeds and clothes the homeless, a community that raises funds for families in hard times, a community that helps a 3-year-old girl battle cancer, a community that has more grace and respect than you could imagine. You see cam (sic), while you are practicing for your next game, our QB will be at Seattle Children’s hospital raising the flag that you shamefully threw to the ground, and he will be placing them on the hospital walls of little 12’s.
So Cam, the next time you think of disrespecting our flag, I hope you remember that even though you may have won this game, it is the Seahawks and the 12th man, who are the real winners. Win or lose we come with class, respect, a love for the game, a willingness to help others, love for God, and love for those surrounding us. So Mr. Classless Cam Newton, good luck and may God teach you what real winning looks like. — Sarah
A lot of the Seahawks fans I saw were being ass’, before the game of course. Like the older guy I saw that was harassing the young ladies behind him. Daddy switched seats after the third time the guy turned to talk trash to his little girl. Panther dad showed great class in defusing the situation, which was a real good thing because the natives were getting restless. Guy left with 3 minutes left…he was holding his 12 flag up the whole time too. The dad behind him had to hold his son the entire game so he could see over the (**() 12 flag and they were seachicken fans too.

Cam threw down a flag…and does a lot of good things for the community also. I’ve never seen so many people get so butthurt over an NFL player throwing some flags. It’s not the American flag.
Boo boo. Its disrespectful to bring a 12th man Flag to an away game. The origin of the 12th man is the home crowd so it has no place in Charlotte. Imo flags and signs (particularly visitors) should not be allowed to be held during play because it blocks others view. I didn’t even know this blew up into an issue. When did football become more about drama than the game?

How’s that going Nostradamus?
quote:I wouldn't care if he wiped his ass with that flag. People acting like he punched their wives. Cam has been critical of the Carolina fan base, because so many of them are bandwagoners from other teams. "Uh yeah, I got on a connecting flight through Boston airport one time, so I'm a huge Pats fan!" I think it's hilarious.
