I went sheep head fishing and tried a few spots. Most were slow but there was one hole with a steady bite. I caught bsb, bluefish, and my first dog fish in a really long time but I missed sheep head after sheep head until my arm got stiff from staying ready. I had a lot of fish on that spit the hook. I thought I was ready, I had great bait fresh dug mussels and fiddlers. I open my tackle box only to find I was out of my favorite sheep head hooks and only had hooks a little to large, I forgot I was out since I haven’t went inshore fishing in a few months. The fiddlers bite was slow but the mussels were gone as soon as you could get a reel or to of the bottom. The summer time weekend boaters are starting to show up thick. Also saw a sea turtle and schools of glass minnows and small menhadden just before folly marina.
