To the asshole at Seabrook inlet around 6pm

, ofcourse, it can end your whole day when you do what we do and only have a small amount of bait and a short window of fishing time.

I’m thinking it would end their whole life if they got a loop of 80lb braid around their neck while running 30 mph. You’d have to go look for the head [:0]:face_with_head_bandage:

Had a man on my charter boat once get his ear cut clean off by a fishing line.

Can you hear OK with 1 ear Larry:question::smiley:

50 feet is a heck of a lot different than 50 yards. Understand your frustration, wonder what the swimming touristos would think when you tell them you have a whole dead bonito for bait waiting for a twelve foot tiger shark.

People were swimming close to shore ( it’s the inlet ) - we were dropping bait in the channel - 50-60’ of water. They are actually pretty tolerant there, as we frequent there often. We tag for NOAA when possible, and everyone wants to watch

:smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley:LOL?LOL:smiley::smiley: I love your sense of humor Friend ! If you can’t laugh at yourself, you have no reason to laugh at anyone else:wink:

I laugh at myself all the time, always doing something stupid :smiley: I don’t take myself or much else very seriously.

I’ve never rigged another drop back loop on a rigger after that day. And no, it wasn’t my ear. Wish it was. I’d rather hurt me than hurt somebody else. Had a couple of experiences with fishing line that taught me to respect it and be real careful. It will cut as fast as a band saw.

Iggy,
Did he just pick up your lines in the prop and rip them right out the back of your kayak? That would suck! Some people are such morons out on the water. Common sense doesn’t seem that common…

My lines were in PVC holders on the beach, I had just finished dropping my 2nd bait.
