to the ledge and beyond....

Ran out on a slick pond at speeds in the 40’s, dropped a high speed spread in at SWB, and trolled the cold water for an hour…NADA. Every time we go over a piece of ledge, OTM is going crazy wanting to make a drop.time to go to work… I was determined to get back in the saddle, but for me, it was not to be! First spot was a piece of live bottom in 185’…Kyle - Grouper…Steve - Grouper…Chris - Grouper…Me - AJ. This is how it went for the duration of the trip. They would catch multiple groupers, I would catch Almaco jacks, Amber Jacks, Joltheads.I did manage some respectable 5 lb triggers, but I took more ribbing on this trip, than 10 trips with Skinnee. Ran back to the ledge to hit the top secret triggerfish spot, and a big shiny yellow CC is sitting smack on it. Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Steve had a big shark eat half of an AJ right under the boat. Steve put on a jigging clinic for all of us today. That 28’ Scout is one hell of a nice rig, and I had a blast. Thanks Steve, Chris, the food was top shelf again! Kyle…your day is coming

Sells sorry to hear the AJ’s still love you. At least the triggers kept you in the meat. Can’t wait till I can get back out there with you as soon as the stink plant turns me loose.

Fantastic job Paul, you rock dude.

It is! his name is BEETO. He likes kissing fish…a little strange for me. Remember the last time he went…he wouldn’t keep his clothes on.

Great job Sells and crew!

We should taken your advice and followed you out to the ledge. We stayed in the 140’ area and caught a number of BSB, beeliners, red porgys, white grunts, triggers, and a few small gags, enough fish to eat for awhile. The problem we had was the sharks. They wore us out, i know we caught over 40. We set up on 3 or 4 different spots but had the same results, the sharks. It was hard to leave the area with the sonar lit up like it was, but next time we will.

nice fish sells… congrats…looks like it was a nice day to be out on the water
