Today on the Wando

Met up with ScottyD and we headed out around noon. Hit a few spots and no fish, hit another go-to spot and we started seeing reds everywhere… not a trout to be seen but the reds are very much kickin and biting in the wando. Scotty landed a BEAUTIFUL red about 25", the thing looked like a brand new penny! Water temp was about 43 in the river but up onthe flats it was between 44-46 degrees. We still can’t get Austin to catch a fish but he got closer today  We didn’t expect to see any fish much less catch one but We must have spooked about 30 fish and had good shots at about 10. It was C-O-L-D… holy dookie it was cold but a little nip of scotch helped out and we had a great day, friends, fly rods and fishin… how can it get better???
