My go to flats were a little lackluster today. Good water depth, fairly decent winds and a beautiful blue sky. I’m certainly not complaining. Everyone and their brother was on the water it seemed. DNR stopping boats left and right today under the Ben Sawyer, double check your safety gear before going out tomorrow and this weekend.
Saw a handful of fish and went two for four on the fly. The fish that were tailing were very happy and very lazy… My favorite kind of fish! You can’t tell, and the peapod will deny it, but there’s a copperhead crab in this picture somewhere. Stop by CA and get some, they work fantastic on the Marsh flats.

Bitterness is so unbecoming. I am jealous but NOT bitter.

…until I buy my Rolex.
I’ve had it for a few years and its a great watch. I enjoy wearing watches and I wanted one that I could have in the water and not have to worry too much about it. I wear it in saltwater all the time and never had any issues whatsoever.

I also enjoy fine timepieces and long walks in the marsh.
I wear a Casio but wouldn’t say no to a stroll through the spartina grass.
