Well I finally did it! I ran aground on a shallow muddy flat in Murrells Inlet. Its my fault cause I didn’t take the time to study the back of the creeks on the Navionics app. Anyway my trim will not hold at full throttle so I am sure I have busted a seal. The problem is I am not familiar with the setup of the Tohatsu TnT. My question is…Is it possible to replace a seal in the Tohatsu TnT? The shaft doesn’t have a cap like the Yamaha TnT that screws off…and I read an old post ('18) on another form that the Tohatsu TnT are not serviceable. Hoping someone from the local repair shops have some insight for me…thanks in advance!
As far as I can tell, you can only replace the three O rings in the cylinder?
But, I see where you can buy a rebuilt unit.
Let me look a little more.
I fixed it!..I simply reset the manual release with a screwdriver. Looks like the pressure from the hit may have weakened the seal. All good now! Whew! I was sweating it there for awhile…there has been too many expensive repairs lately.
