Tolers Cove

I was wondering if any folks on the site fish out of Tolers?

I just moved a 35 Bertram there and am going to be there through the summer. Was just interested in who all may be around down that way.

Spent 10 years there on B dock, plenty of fishing boats back then, great place to fish out of and plenty to do on those windy days.

I also had a 35 Betrram there, great boat, what kind of power do you have in her?

She has 315 Cummins 6BTAs in her. Pretty happy with the power and ride so far. The boat just needs a good bit of work. She had been pretty neglected up until this point.

I’m on C-Dock. The only bad thing I can say about it so far, is that it appears they put 35’ boats in 34’ slips. Man it is tight in there. I had some serious pucker factor trying to slide into my slip.

I’ve kept boats there for many years & am currently over on E-dock with a 48’. They do tend to keep it tight in there… possibly put you in the smallest slip size they could get you into to keep the monthly rent down. If you want more room & don’t mind paying more, I’m sure Kevin can find a larger open slip.

The good news is that there isn’t any current and very little wind to mess you up while you get comfortable with the slip.

Whats she cruise at ? I had Cat 3116, 300 hp 26 k cruise so I am thinking you would see 28 k.

Another good thing about Tolers very little current so growth in minimal, however it was a little skinney in certain places.

We are on F dock and love it there.Never got bad fuel from the fuel dock for the Cabo and all gas is non-ethanol for bayboat. 3 minutes from my house to parking lot.

I am no where near those numbers right now, that is pretty impressive. I am cruising 22knots and top out about 28. The props do need honing and could possibly need to be changed, but I don’t think I will see 26k. I’m running 22k at 6 off.

Toler’s is convenient by both land and water, the staff is good, it’s not too large to get to know the crews of the good many boats that fish out of there in the summer. Only place I would slide atop toler’s would be Georgetown bc of the layout and sole focus on fishing. I try to be a regular to toler’s.

Toler’s is a great place. We have a small Grady their and the have received lots of help from nice folks like Capt. Eddie (Bay Boat & Cabo). Close to inshore, harbor, nearshore and offhshore. Recent dredging makes it easier to navigate. Good Luck?
