Ralph and I got to take a short trip to LA to fish last week. Amazing fishery! Sorry for the lack of reports, just been busy really, and not fishing as much as I’d like to.
Sorry to direct you away from the site but I wrote a detailed report on our blog.
Awesome report, Optiker. I did notice one thing that concerned me though. Apparently something is wrong with the water down there because your coffee was a weird milky light brown color. It’s almost like there was something other than coffee in your coffee. I hope it didn’t make you sick or make you feel like shaving your legs. LOL!!!
Just messing with you. As always, great report. I can’t read enough of your blogs. Always informative. Always entertaining. I always appreciate how open you are about sharing information. Too many people these days act like they’re protecting national security or secret locations of nukes when it comes to fishing. Not you guys though. Thanks for sharing and thanks for all you do for our fishing community. You, Ralph and all the folks at Eye Strike are true ambassadors.

stump, yes, pretty much always but in this case we were using 30lb leader. The fish down there are not near as finicky as we are used to! If they see it, 90% of the time they are on it like a hobo on a ham sammich.
bangstick - LOL - I’m a black coffee drinker but that first morning was an experiment in trying to figure out the new to me coffee machine. It turned out like my mother in laws ie. TAR! Plenty of other stuff was required to make it tolerable
