Tom Stokes Passed Away

A proud and long time member of MSC, Tom Stokes, passed away on Tuesday. Tom was 76 years of age, an avid Clemson fan, a youth league coach for many years, and a former Lieutenant in the Army Air Defense Command. Tom attended MSC meetings on a regular basis until his health started declining several years ago. He would come even though he had to bring his O2 tank in tow and rarely was able to fish. Tom was a wonderful guy and a friend to anyone he met.

Please remember Tom and has family in your prayers. The plans for his last rites are in Section C of today’s State newspaper. McDougald Funeral home in Anderson, SC is in charge of the arrangements.

Prayers go out to the Family

Tom will be sorely missed. Long before I joined MSC I would run into him in Crystal Lake in his pontoon. He would always stop and chat, and share anything that was working.

I will truly miss him!
