yea i know i usally am right back with report but had to be at defensive driving at 730am till 5pm. then wedding from 6 to 8. but did really well i though, 24 fish all together, 3 keepers 22, 22, and 24. should have had one more keeper but lost him at the boat do to talking on the phone, two more bait clickers screaming, and grabbing the darn paddle thinking it was the net, did some thrashing at the boat and pulled the hook. was kinda a chinese fire drill at times…lol…got the trolling motor working perfectly finally and basically kept drs straight down between 25’ and 35’ moving extremly slow, “spider rigging” for striper i would say. have been having a blast with the 8’ light action glow sticks, so much i had richard order me two more. i have been fishing new reels, okuma mx20’s with line counters and i love them and i got 4 of them for 25.00 each.(ebay) only draw back is there is a very small amount of reverse in the reels but seems that almost all okumas have them that i found, just a little info if someone is looking at new but cheap equipment that seems to be pretty good…they are getting bigger…tight lines till next time…
Sounds like a good night. We went last night. We started up in crystal lake and only caught two fish but it was a keeper (22"). Ended up back at the towers for 1.5 hours and caught quite a few shorts and one at 23". The south wind picked up pretty good about 11:00.
