Tonight (Wed)

Ain’t been out since Labor Day morn and I need a fix. Putting in about 7:30 at the dam to troll for a few hours. If anyone wants to go, just send me a PM.

I can’t promise anything, but I CAN guarantee you we will not do any worse than we did Labor Day morn!!

Hey Tim, It was nice to finally meet you at the meeting last night.
Good luck this evening.
I’m going to try to get out tomorrow (Thurs) morning. I struck out in the big pool on Tuesday so I’m headed up lake this time. If I find any fish I’ll post the results in the MSC section.

Was good to meet you. We’ll be trolling the big water anywhere from the dam down to Spence. Good luck in the morning. Check on here before you go. I’ll try and post how we did beforer I go to bed.

Hope you do better than us this morning which I’ll call our worst day ever. Searched for fish from the towers almost to Bomb island. To say they were scattered is an understatement. Occasionally saw one at 45 and a few more at 80. No takers though. Water temp was back into 79 and bait seemed to be doing a little better. On our way in saw them schooling for a short while at the junction of the creeks between Lake Murray and LH Marina. The folks at LH say they’ve been going out in the evening and working schools between there and Wessinger. Most are short but they said they had a few 25 inchers in the group.

We put in a little before dark and made a pass from the dam down to Spence and back. Only landed 2 fish and missed another 2 or 3. Fish were scattered and were either at 60-80’ or in the 30-45’ range.

I am taking my son Friday afternoon around 4 and will stay till dark. I think I am going to drift around with live bait and do some jigging at different depths from the towers to outside Jakes cove and back. Don’t think I’ll go that far up unless I here reports of a lot fish near Spence.

I think the fish moved up. talked to someone today that trolled all morning from bomb down and never had a hit and never saw more than a few scattered fish on the fish finder. With the cool nights I’m guessing the upper part of the lake is cooling faster and drawing the fish. Doesn’t seem to be much oxygen in the big water, can’t keep bait alive. I’m going to try way up Saturday evening just to see what’s up.

Due to some recent reports of schooling in the upper lake, and the lack of anyone catching much near the dam, I am going to fish north of Shull and maybe check out Crystal Lake. I’ll let you know if I see anything Friday.
