Ton's of Bait Shrimp

Consistent with the reports from the Harbor, I have not cast net many shrimp since early summer when I am out looking for bait. Luckily there has been plenty of finger mullet. This Sunday morning though I pulled up to the flat north of the Wando terminal to pole around a bit about an hour after the low tide. The area between the two bigger creeks was just covered in shrimp. Threw the net 2 or 3 times and easily had a hundred shrimp. Shrimp were in water from 5 inches to a foot and were good bait size. There are usually shrimp at this spot in the fall, but the numbers I saw seemed more than usual.

Size???

I’d say mostly mediums with a mix of smalls. You could have coolered without bait in 30 minutes.

Good information. Thanks.
