Meanwhile, I side with the OP 100%. And if someone is ever in a spot I like to fish then from far away I ask if it’s okay to fish near them… and I ask from farrrr away. If I catch fish there then I tell them to get in on the action because it’s the nice thing to do and you meet good people that way. Last time I did that it worked just fine… then some other boat came down the creek, went over all of our lines without even a nod, dropped the anchor on the hole, and acted like we weren’t there. And I don’t want to hear anything about “local”, “native”, or “non-native”… there’s terds any where you go regardless of where they’re from

^^^ I’m guilty of that maneuver as well. Thankfully reds have a short memory and forget that they were hooked as soon as you slack the line.

So, is the guy in the picture wrong for anchoring up on that spot?
My Nephew while in Ft Myers went to a spot he found for big snook.A boat knowing he is a local guide trailed us.he dodged around mangrove places and finally lost them.We anchored up and here they coma and anchored about 30 feet from us.he turned on his Sirus radio to opera and blasted it.They left 5 minutes later with a finger wave.LOL
