Never been to cold to chase birds! Seen times we almost needed an ice breaker. Dip the rod eyes in the water to kill the ice!
It was 26 degrees and the wind was 30+ in the main lake, too cold for me and too dangerous going solo. Did see two boats out the morning prior but they were covered pontoons and stayed close to the canal
