I have an older boat (1986 center console malibu) and I have some areas where I need to repair the fiberglas in a couple of spots. The boat has sentimental value as it was my granddad’s and I grew up fishing on that boat with him. It’s not worth a whole lot but I don’t have the cash to upgrade right now and even if I did I’d have a hard time getting rid of it. Anyway, I have a couple of cracks in the deck and so what I was thinking was that after I finished the fiberglass repair, I’d like to recoat the topside with something. Right now it’s white with the dark brown speckles. Any suggestions and is this something I could attempt to do myself?
