Went out at low to grab some bait. Waited for water to cover the mud flat. Fishing FM under cork and crab on bottom, no takers. Watched fish crashing shrimp decided to toss top water since it was cloudy and getting late. Hooked what I thought was a Red. I saw a wide tail and just assumed…to my surprise it was 22" Trout. Was measuring fish and my buddies grabbed my rod and took over my spot. Left with fish rolling and crashing bait. Had to start the grill!
