Went out at 4am last Monday
Top Water action is hot right now what a blast 3 reds and 3 trout before 6am
They knock it all over the place and the sound when they take it wow even when you cant see it about 6 hits to one catch

That’s awesome - especially with this heat you can get your fish and get off the water before it gets too bad…congrats!

I am going to be in Edisto in a couple of weeks. That means I can get up and hit the water early. Catching something on a topwater is on my “list” so hopefully I can try it out and cross that off my list.
Nice. I went out Friday and the tide was low coming in. O threw the topwater at different spots for about half an hour 6:30 to 7. And I didn’t even get a blowup. There was bigger mullet occasionally flipping and I kept seeing reds (?) Pushing up a disturbance along the bank but it was at least 75yds ahead of me. Glass minnow schools also. I threw it and worked different retrieves along the oysters on the bank under the rocks adjacent to the pilings, all over and not a thing. Any tips?
I’m a high class redneck.

dlwhite, where do you live in Charleston ??
Bragging may not bring happiness,

What kind of top water do ya’ll throw?
I have been using the Super Spook Jr
The Red + White seems to work the best right now

Haven’t hooked into one, but I have seen some huge top water action the last couple of outings. Usually it’s where I’m not or can’t get into due to the heavy grass. Cool to see though!
