Hit the Folly River at 4:30 am and had more electrical problems, (time to replace all the original spade connectors GW uses!) after running them down and fixing them, got off and going and ran out the Folly and Stono, fortunantly the tide wasn’t an issue this morning and actually had about 2ft of water under the keel for a change! Decided to try some different water today and set the A/P to North of the E. Banks and ran 32 all the way out with a gorgeous sunrise rising off the port beam. Ran out to 220ft dodging the mosquito fleet along the way!
Came upon a nice temp break and dropped lines in and proceded to start drowning ballyhoo, and drown, and drown, and drown. Sloooooooooow brought on a whole new meaning for the morning with narey a bite or knockdown. Trolled on out to 300 ft and started picking up a few nice dolphins in scattered weeds and temp. breaks. Watched a 10’ + hammerhead shark cruising along the surface till he saw our spread and made a beeline for it, fortunantly he wasn’t too interested or he might have had a close encounter with some 220g FMJ’s. Got visited again by at least 100 porpoise that decided to ride our bow wave for a few before heading off. Also got visited by a military fighter jet that decided to buzz us, HOLY BEJEEZEEL@#$a%@$$#@$@%$^&*$ was it loud, dang near made me hit the friggin floor (shorts were still clean, but it was touch and go for a min!) Chatted with a few of the folks from here on the radio. Had someone ask us if we had any extra bait and was just about to float a bag of it off the stern for them to pick up when we realized they were following a different GW 33 Express! (Hope ya guys found some or made out allright!) Now for the most frustrating part of the day, lost 8 fish that just plain out spit the hooks within a min of eating it, watched one jump 5 ft out of the water hooked and proceed to spit out the hook and ballyhoo while in the air, dolphin is flying thru the air one way and the lure and ballyhoo are flying out of it the other way! worst of it,the 8

Russ,
That was us asking for bait. I appreciate you taking the time to try to get us bait. Long story, but we fished two days in a row and we were too tired to remember more bait. We had just enough to finish the day. I am glad we figured out it was not you before you tossed the bait to us. Must have been another 33 express. Thanks again and that was a true gentleman move offering us your bait.
