Ummmmmm… have you introduces yourself to any of the local fishing guides, fishing clubs or any of the local fishing or flyfishing shops? Many of us have lots and lots of equipment to share. Who are you?

Originally posted by bomayhue… Im a part of the Summerville saltwater anglers so I know a few but not they’re more like acquaintances than anything.
Just a thought but, might be good for some of the clubs to have “intro” set-ups and beginning intro to flyfishing days?. I helped a local youth fishing association for some years and then one of the big outfits adopted it.
Let us know what kind of flyfishing you want to get into (pond/saltwater) and what region you will typically fish. That will get the ball started I bet.
Finally. I support people who support flyfishing in a positive way (using MY criteria). Give to this board and the people of this board will (and have very often) supported your efforts.

the charleston angler and lowcountry fly shop carry an 8wt combo. its not used but it’s a nice combo and it’s relativly cheap. it is a redington pursiut 8wt, i think it’s $180 and my dad has it and its pretty nice.
There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.
