Topwater Bite

It has been lights out for the past couple of weeks. I have picked up an average of 2 reds each morning on topwater and there have been a few trout thrown in the mix. If you have the chance get out there and its only going to start getter better once we start cooling off.

Fishing tomorrow if anyone wants to join.

Feelfree Lure 11.5
Native Ultimate 12 & 14.5

Ive never had any luck using the top waters. What are a few good lures to try?

All fishermen are liers except me and you and I’m not sure about you.

TW was really good this morning. The mullet are running the banks in rafts and getting blitzed!
A skitterwalk in mullet color will serve you well!

Had 3 reds to 29" and 1 trout at 17.5"

Spook Jr. Bright colors at first light and then I switch to a more natural color.

Rebel Pop-R, color doesn’t seem to matter much… this lure has caught almost a hundred reds for me in the last two years.

Doug you are killing it with that Bass lure. I picked up two the other day.

Hobie Outback "Silverback"

replace the hooks on the pop-r… the factory hooks wont make it thru a single fish. i use Owner 2x size 6, i also replace the spit rings because i have had a few fish pull them apart to. tight lines

Will do buddy. Thanks for the tip.
