Topwater trout

Gotta start with a shout out to Raddaddy. Second time this year I have given up on a fishery only to give it one more shot based on his advice and had an epic day. Son was home from Wofford and we decided to make a late afternoon trip. Picked at the trout on a falling tide. Redfish showed up tailing along the oyster banks near low. Tried every artificial I had. Finally got them to bite TT retrieved like a crank bait. Looked over and found a school of trout chasing shrimp and it was on. Caught trout on every cast for thirty minutes until dark on Zara Spook and a savage shrimp. Lots of fun. Ended up with 32 on those and various Z man plastics on trout eye jig heads, all 14-18". Kept 4 for dinner.

Awesome stuff right there!!

That said, the dog looks a little less enthused. Lol!!

Great job, man. Still plenty of fishing inshore to be done!

Thanks for sharing! Nice report! Love it out there.

Awesome…great job. Ask your son if he knows Connor Duheme…his my nephew and attends Wofford too.

Wise decision to try try again!
