Im well aware that I am a huge noob as far as topwater goes and have never caught a fish here in Charleston on topwater. I want to just know where, when how and what to do and catch. any help is greatly appreciated. I fish the cooper river area mostly but can get anywhere inshore in Charleston by land or boat.
Similar to fishing with a cork. I tend to fish along grass points, feeder mouths and oyster bars. I will typically get out early and look for nervous water. I prefer to fish low tide because you will see the reds pushing water and can make casts in front of them. Reds on topwater with their clumsiness and aggressive strikes make for quite an exciting experience.
