Heh if I get my 14 footer on top of my 94 sentra this weekend I will post the picture. Imagine a boat 2/3 larger than yours with a car only slightly bigger. The boat is longer than the car for sure. I got a solid roof rack but the whole car can move in a stiff gust of wind.

Yeah, I built it 10 or 12 years ago. I’ve done some recent remodeling on the deck to create more room for fishing. There’s a few more of my old projects at my photobucket including some in-process pics of a 15 foot flats boat I built a long time ago.

you build a good boat.i hope my flats skiff turns out half that nice.my main thing was it had to fit in the back of my car, sticking out of course.so,its 34 inches wide at the bottom and about 39 at the top of the sidewalls.its 8ft long and shaped like a jonboat in front.will try to post some pics.

Are you glassing your whole boat or just the seams? I taped the seams both inside and out. I rolled 2 coats of epoxy on the plywood then painted it with latex for easy touchups. I put casting platform on both front and rear. Built the complete boat for $150 and 3 weekends work.

im glassing the whole bottom and all seams.ive built a few in the past and this always seemed to work fine.im gonna thompsons water seal the inside and im gonna paint the outside with a new latex epoxy i found.its actually made for showers and such in institutional places, but it will work fine for this.i always test my experiments before putting to much into em and this one works great.ill post some pics when i can.
