It is the time of the year for MSC members, guests and friends to start thinking about our annual banquet. The banquet will be held on Jan. 11 2014 at Saluda Shoals Park. Doors will open at 6:00pm for registration for membership, tournament fees and raffle tickets.You do not have to be a member to attend but just have an interest in striper fishing.The menue this year is Shealy’s BBQ with all the trimmings. Cost is $10.00 per adult 12 and over and $5.00 for under 12. You must up sign up to attend no later than Jan. 8 2014 by responding to this post, emailing me at emwjr@windstream.net,calling or texting 803-463-3974 or at the meeting tonight.Remember to bring a door prize so that everyone will walk away with something. It does not have to be fishing related and remember that we have ladies and kids in attendance.
Marshall, I’ll likely stroll in late again due to Region Band auditions that always seem to happen the same day as the banquet… I guess tentatively put me down for at least 1 plate, possibly 2 adults.

We have a couple questions with regard to the door prizes …
How many door prizes should we bring? i.e. There are 4 of us coming (Me, my Wife, and two of our children) … Should we bring ONE door prize or should we bring FOUR door prizes …
Also, without being too presumptuous … What price range are we looking at with regard to these prizes?

Typically people bring one door prize per family and you can spend as much or little as you like. I would guess the average amount spent is in the $10.00 - $20.00 range. You will be given a raffle ticket for each paid meal at the banquet and these items are awarded back to the attendees. This is strictly a volunteer thing and you do not have to bring an item to participate. The most important thing is that you come and have fun.
