Tournament Info

Hey all, I just heard about this site on another thread, and thought I would put it here for all of us to see…

One important aspect is there are several tournaments with a per angler entry fee, instead of a per boat. This levels the playing field for us kayakers, and I sure would like to see some of us competing in these, especially when they are local, to spread the sport…

What is nice is seeing more being done on a per angler concept, now to try to get more of them away from a catch and kill format.

Look at the results for last weekends tourney there in Charleston…

Lots of species accesible from a kayak, and many not even having a fish entered…

Those who can’t fish, spend too much on seafood!

Troy, I got Oct 22,23,24 down at Hunting. Maybe we can have an informal tourney that Saturday. Beerbuzz will be camping/fishing also… so you know you won’t come in last place:smiley: Don’t forget your bait shimp… the spots should be biting:smiley:

Cut,

Think that is the same weekend as the SAV tournament. They have camping down there and we need to get you down there to represent SC with us.

For those interested there are several good tournaments this fall, will be fishing some but not all of them.

Sept. 11-12: Indian River Paddle Classic, Melbourne
Sept, 25-26: TKAA (pretty big event and good tourney to fish)
Oct, 3: Hardcore Invitational Kayak Fishing Tournament
Oct, 17: Fall N Tide 4 - Empire LA
Oct, 23-24: GA Coastal Tournament

If anyone is interested in fishing some of these let me know and maybe we can fish it together.
