tough day yesterday started at buffalo and pulled boards all the way down to mac church nothing but shorts around 20 inches. Moved on to mid lake with down rods in 86 ft of water and fished 40 to 46 ft deep picked up our 4 keepers and I lost a real big fish the rod was in my hand and the fish had the eyes of my med heavy ugly stick in the water I had 2 rookies on the boat but they did there job and caught the keepers and they would like to thank everyone who donated there fish to them
Forgot to mention congratulations to team john boy on there tough win
Started off around shull caught one keeper after first hour on down rod. He Had a 28" head and a 16" body man he was poor. Tried a couple different spots. Wife hung something big but dummy me didn’t check the drag so there goes the leader. Finally Started pulling downrods and divers. Picked up some shorties. Caught one more keeper at 3:50 .Tried to make one more pull trough the fish but time was up. Still had a great day with the wife and kid.
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON !!!
It started as a very tough day. Midway through the tournament we had not heard of many people with more than one fish. The afternoon turned on for most teams. I had caught fish the day before in Beaverdam but we only managed one there in half a day Saturday. Mid lake in the deeper water certainly improved our day.

We didnt fish the tx but went to the rivers to play/look around. After getting on the water with no TM remote almost called it quits and go home. Called momma and asked for another birthday gift…lol…bring me my remote. Finally get lines in the water at 930. 2 nice keepers in the boat by 940. Picked up 3 more fish over the next 3 hrs. 2 more keeps and a short.
Prob could have done ok if we had got a early start and fished all day. Left to go home at 1230. All keeps caught on boards short was on a DR.

How deep are they sitting? Are they in the middle of the lake or still in the same areas as last month?
Looking to try in the morning in the kayak, so just trying to determine where to put in.
If you prefer, you can pm me.

The fishing was tough Saturday compared to the quick and easy outings I’d been having. That’s tournament day! We still ended up with some decent keepers to come in 4th. Staying in the Beaverdam area all day to try to hide from the wind, we drifted downrods at 40-50 and also caught a couple on freelines. It was slow most of the day.
