Touts! (copy report from inshore)

I put the Kayak in around 8:45 am within site of the Hwy 41 bridge. I worked Gulp Shrimp for a little while with no takers then I worked my way through every color grub in my bag until I started catching. I’m not sure the depth but it was an hour before and after high tide, I worked grass patches a couple hundred yards off the bank and ended up catching 16 trout. They all but shut off for me around 12:30pm so I headed in with 9 nice keepers. I trolled in and caught my largest of the day (17") about 50 yards from the ramp to make 10. I couldn’t catch a Red today to save my life. Here were the hot colors of the day.

If you don’t mind me asking, where do you put in that close to the bridge. I keep my boat there at Carolina Boatyard and that would be a handy place to put my yak in.

Thanks for the report Ivy, what time is dinner ??

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
