Towboat

Heard lots of calls for Seatow over the holiday but none for Boatus. Do they have a presence here in Charleston?

Yes, and the 2 times I have used them over the years they have been great.

I switched to sea tow this year.

I switched from Sea Tow to Towboat US…

I’ve had Sea Tow for 20 years. Never had to call them for anything, but they are usually close.

I have Tow Boat US, and they were very good when I popped a hydraulic steering line a couple years ago. A buddy has Sea Tow and they were very good the time we used them several years ago (don’t remember the reason).

I don’t think you can go wrong with either.

I used Towboat US this weekend - they were fast and easy to deal with.

Thx for the replies. I have Boatus but was wondering since I never hear them on the radio.

I think both are equally as good, both have a great reputation. Allstate or State Farm?

I have Boatus 3-4 yrs and luckily have never had to use them on the water ,my policy also includes road assist while trailering boat. Last year towing vehicle, Tahoe, fuel pump stranded me on I-26 , Hi-Partol dispatched their ,on call, wrecker service " we were in a very dangerous spot" ,Long story short, Boatus paid all the towing expenses… Already renewed policy to continue their service…:sunglasses:

I had to use BoatUS during the extremely busy 4th weekend. They were to me within an hour and fifteen minutes and did a great job. Very glad I had it, and will definitely keep it in the future.

I recently went with Towboat US, mainly because it looks like they have a lot more locations here in Charleston and they also have a location on the Lake. I also added the unlimited trailer assist which also covers the tow vehicle for an additional $14. Great piece of mind in my oppinion.

One Simple Thanks!!

I have Tow BoatUS also and have never had to use them but the peace of mind is worth every penny. I have the roadside assistance too, for $14 it is a no brainier, I tow a pretty large rig often from Summerville to Mt. P and I’m at Murrells Inlet this week. Knowing if I break down on the road it will not be at an opportune time or place, the things nightmares are made of.
