Trailer Advice

I am in the process of closeing a dill on a 1998 2870WA with twin 225 yamaha 4 strokes.Boat does’nt have a trailer.Boat weighs about 9000lb ready to fish.Will be trailering from Gaston SC.What should I buy?Boat came with a tandem when new.Any advice would be great:smiley:Is a 10500 enough?

I would contact Alice at Tom Hughes Marine in West Columbia, 803-796-3567, about having a WESCO built. The plant is in Cayce and they can have you on the road pretty quickly. Wesco will help you spec your trailer, but they do not sell direct.

I have a 26 Reg which is about the same weight. I used TNT trailers out of Tampa, FL. They had the best price (2 years ago) and they make frequent deliveries to Charleston.

LuckyDuck,I talked to frank at tnt and they do have the best price on what seems to be a very nice trailer. He told me a 10500 tandem would do what I need.

the trailer under luckys boat is a VERY nice trailer

I’m now at www.teamcharlestonmarine.com

They provide a great trailer without the huge overhead so that is why the prices are so good (family run business). They deliver up here because the local guys buy from him and put their stickers on the trailers.

Unfortunately Chris V has seen my trailer a few times:smiley:

LuckyDuck do you have a triaxle or tandem?

I think they call it a heavy duty tandem.
