Any recommendations? Or references of good trailer mechanics out there?
Thanks in advance. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I take all my Stuff to Corbin’s in North Charleston. Tried another place on 17A in Summerville. They told me wrong problem and took them a couple hours to do that. Corbins found the problem in less than 5 minutes and fixed it in about 5 minutes…Great people to deal with…
What kind of brakes…Disc or Drum? Are you sure they just aren’t seized? Sometimes pulling forward and backing up will break them loose as long as there is sufficient weight on the trailer. That can be a common problem when trailers are dunked in saltwater and put away without first rinsing them off.

I had that happen to mine and found that if I spray lubricant like WD-40 on the brake actuator after cleaning, no more troubles

I had trouble with mine and figured out it was the wiring harness for the trailer lights. I guess it wasn’t sending the signal back to let the trailer know I was going in reveres…seemed alittle strange to me but seemed to have worked, anyways just my 2cents.
Thanks guys - appreciate the help. I actually checked the brake fluid and found there was none. That said, I cleaned out the reservoir and replaced the fluid. How long does it normally take for the brake fluid to make its way thru the system? Is there anything in particular I should be paying close attention to? Again, appreciate the insight

you should be looking for leaks at the wheels( i had a caliper leaking real bad)…you did bleed the system, not just fill the reservoir?
I had the same problem on a two year old trailer. Take it to Corbins and tell them to put on Kodiak brand disk brakes (silver cad. model). You will never have another problem. Other brands can’t say that. It’s the brand the pro’s use.
