I just installed two new brake-turn signal lights on trailer all other lights work until I ground the new lights which will work but knocks out the other lights. Can anyone help?
I’d double check all of the connections and make sure I did’nt splice the wrong wires together. (for example, a green wire to a brown or yellow one, I know someone(who shall remain nameless)do that) I’d also check all of the grounds.
Usually when I change brake/tail lights, I spring for a kit with a wire harness. That way it’s all new.

I agree with Bob- I’d start at the beginning and check all the connections again - sounds like a crossed wire or a wire grounding out somewhere.
