I HATE TRAILER LIGHTS…THEY NEVER F#$%@ng work correctly!!!
Amen to that.
I hate it for you…replaced both sets in my two boats this summer as well as new suspension on the little boat.
Sucks, I feel your poison.
…because everything is a conspiracy!!!

Fought them every time it was time to use the boat for years. It isn’t necessary.
See my Mako 211 project thread in this forum. I show how to fix the problem in the first page or two.
If you use LED’s and get the lights and any connections totally out of the water, they will last for years.

I put LED Pipelights on my trailer along with the LED pole top lights 3 years ago. Never had a problem since. I really like the top lights, they make backing and loading at night a lot easier.
I have one trailer with LED the other standard. The LEDs are 3 years old and have had no problems. The standard set is 9 years old and only had to replace a 2 bulbs. Make sure to put dielectric grease everywhere(fill the electric plugs and sockets). The couple of times I’ve hooked up with no lights on either trailer it’s been rust on the hitch ball or in the trailer coupler.
Mine are mounted up on the guides, LEDs, and also, I use the splice type connectors that guillotine the wires, and after I connect them I shoot the gaps full of 5200 or silicone. Have had zero problems with them since.

x2
flushing them with fresh water wont hurt either
X 10 on the LED pipelights. Use Phins method of wiring. It works and is cheap. The best setup for wiring I’ve seen.
phins way is the way we install pipe lights around here, except we dont use the extension cords
if your trailer lights don’t work, does that give a cop grounds to pull you over in SC? Only one of mine works.
