got a question.when i hook up my boat/trailer to my vehicle and cut on the lights,my tail lights go out when i push the brakes.do anybody know why it is doing that

Sounds like you have a the brake light circuit shorted/attached to ground somewhere. Check all your wiring and make sure its correct.

You also could have a ground somewhere on your wire run down the trailer to your lights…either at a splice or where it rubs

I would suggest your trailer light ground to the trailer, and the trailer ground to the vehicle will be where your problem lies.
