Any suggestions for trailer service on/near Folly/James Island? Need new springs on tandem. Will they service with boat still on it? I don’t have a easy place to store it off the trailer.
If you can get it over to Tommy at the Trailer Shop in Mt. P.
Might I suggest changing to torsion bar suspension. Longer life. The Trailer Shop on Mt.P can do it.

No answer at Trailer Shop earlier today- not open on Sat pm?
Will try again later this week if no other closer suggestions.
Thanks for the help.
Try Duke’s Marine on James Island. I believe they do trailer work.
Stickman, I would check into swtiching over to torsion like in pursuit said, more $ up front, but should be pretty much maint. free after that. I would also recommend Tommy, I do all my own work, but I hear great things about his service. Would imagine Dukes is pretty back up with outboard work this time of year.
Dukes marine. If he cant do it witht he boat on the trailer he can lift it off at his shop and put it on stands if it needs to. but most of the time it can be done with out taking the boat off. I agree about the torsion axles. better ride and no more messing with leaf springs every few years

i believe tommys son does mobile work
definately go with torsion
Torsions sound good. Talked to Tommy; NO saturday work so that puts him out of the equation for now.
Tommy does some quality work. I highly recommend him if it works out for you.
Tommy Stone at the trailer shop in Mt P is the man. You can’t beat the quality of his work or the price.
Well saturdays are it for me; so last Saturday I jacked up trailer with boat on it and took broken leafs pring off rear axle. Nuts needed lots of Rust-Off and as much torque as this middle-age man could muster.
Now need 27" double-eye 4-leaf spring with 2" u-bolts. Any suggestions for parts place this coming Saturday?
you might want to give wesco trailors a call in cayce. they have most anything and are really good on price.
If you take it to Dukes Marine, don’t expect to get it back within the next 12-15 months. Seriously.
Seel’s has all the trailer parts you need. leaf springs, ubolts, & nuts & bolts. Stainless as well.
