Trailer Shop

I have a long trailer for my 16ft river boat that is in much need of repair. My uncle had in in Greenville NC and the bolts are badly rusted. I am trying to find some u-bolts that will fit it. Can anyone reccomend a place around the columbia area that may have hard to find u-bolts. A place that can even make ubolts would be better. I have one of each size taken off to take into the shop. Wateree Trailer did not have anything close.

thanks

Try Wesco Trailers in Cayce. I just replaced all my bunks and fenders and got all my mounting brackets and U bolts etc… from them. They actually build all their trailers at that site, so they should have anything you need.

Thanks. I will give them a shot.

There is also a place off of Bluff Rd. I think it’s called Carolina rim & Wheel that has those products on hand.

Wesco is your best chance of getting everything you need.

I went out to Wesco yesterday at lunch and they seem to have something that will work. Nice folks too. Thanks for the info.

Let me tell you a story about WESCO Trailers. About a year ago we were comming home from a MSC Tournment and just as we got on I-77 had a blowout. Bent and cracked the frame of my trailer[Performance trailer no longer in business]well we finally made it home and after several weeks my insurance settled so I was in the market for a new trailer. I had always heard good things about WESCO and since they were in SC I decided to buy a trailer from them. I called them and right out of the gate they told me they would help spec the trailer but I would have to buy from there dealer in Rock Hill I truley respect that!! Got the trailer ordered but was under the gun because I wanted to fish our[MSC] DNR June Tournment. I called WESCO and the person that answered the phone was Jerry I told him my story[it was 6pm] he said he would check with production and call me back the next day[This was 10 days B-4 the DNR tournment] he call me @ 9am the next morning and said I could pick up my trailer the next week on Wed. I did and went back to Rock Hill and went to the river and put my boat on the new trailer everything went smooth. Now that is a story within itself but there is more. About a month later I had a problem with one of the breaks and call Wesco and told them what problem I was having. I was talking with Jerry again and he said I will be at your house tomorrow to fix it and he was their at 10am the next morning put on a new brake and checked the other three, havn’t had a problem since GREAT TRAILER. Buy the way Jerry was Jerry Diggs owner of WESCO Trailers Now that is true customer service!!

After dealing with them while I was recently redoing much of my trailer, that doesn’t surprise me at all. I was over there 3 or 4 times as I would keep finding additional parts I need to do what I wanted to do and those guys were great to deal with and offerered me guidance through out the whole process.
