I just bought a Native Ultimate 14.5 and would like to know how you’ve configured boat & utility trailers to haul these longer boats.
Thanks.

They make it a million times easier to load and unload than putting on top of a car. Ive got a malibu 12ft and after a long paddle getting that thing back on top of my car was horrible. I inherited my uncles old trailer he used to tow his little Omar Shriners go cart. Its enclosed so i just leave it in there %80 of the time. Just hitch up and off I go. Put some rod holders inside it as well. Went from 15+ minutes to get from launch to water, to about 2 minutes. If you have a truck just get the hitch extender. They work great
All fishermen are liers except me and you and I’m not sure about you.
Nice thing about a Native Ultimate is the shape. You don’t need to do a whole lot. That boat will sit really well on any sort of flat crossbar.

Here’s the rig I used.
My Tarpon 160 rode flat on one side and the other T160 or Ride 135 rode on top of the rod and paddle coffin
Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!
BBQandDonuts - I just found a Native 14.5 & dealing with the same issue. I’ve also got an old jonboat trailer & trying to figure the best way to re-rig it for the Native. If you’ve come up with something & wouldn’t mind sharing your thoughts & maybe a photo, I’d appreciate it. This one is for our son. I’ve had a 12’ Ultimate for several years & it rides in the bed of my truck, but he’ll have to trailer his with a car. I do have a good DIY design for a dolly that’s useful getting it around by myself. I just finished making him one. If you’d like to see it, I’ll be glad to post a picture. Thanks.
Checkout Harbor Freight. They have a folding trailer that I have had my eye on.

You know how a traditional trailer has bunks that run from front to back to cradle a boat’s hull? Mount some bunks on the trailer sideways for your kayak - space them out where they support the kayak’s weight…add some surfboard-type rack pads and you’ll be good to go.

I’m looking into this as well right now since my Whaler needs some glass work. I like the cross bunk idea but also like the cargo crate on the other pic. Do you lock your yak to the trailer? I used to do this on top of my car on trips.
