I’ve read that a few of ya’ll have ff/gps on your yaks. How do you rig that up and where does the transducer go?
I mounted my transducer in the hull. So far so good, it seems to work just fine. There are some other mounts I have seen (wilderness systems makes one for the new tarpons) that drop over the side of the boat to hold the transducer in the water. There’s some good info on some of the kayak fishing websites (I think kayakfishingstuff.com has some good stuff) if you search around
Good luck!

Mine’s just “gooped” to floor of forward compartment. Work’s fine.

Same here. It comes loose every now and then, I just re-apply.
I have mine gooped inside the hull of my T140. Squeeze a big puddle of goop into the hull. Gently rock the transducer into the goop puddle. You don’t have to press it all the way against the hull of the yak.
Try not to get air bubbles in the good or it doesn’t work as well.
The only problem I have is that my temp reading doesn’t work well with the transducer inside the yak. Inside the hull my dark green T140 gets up near 100 degrees
