Anybody have any tips on how to get a transducer wire from the console to the transom ? The old one is still in place. Sure seems tight. Is there a tube beyond the boot in the console?
Any advice appreciated.

Yes, there is a PVC cable chase that runs from the console to the right rear/starboard side of the boat! Look in the console and you’ll see where all the cables and wires come out from under the deck! Probably have a rubber boot around the stuff! You might even get lucky and have a cord/rope coming out of the boot! If you do, it runs through the chase and is tied off where the cables come out in the back! If it’s there use it to pull the new transponder cable through the chase! Tie another cord to the one you pull through so you still have one in the chase for the future!
I was hopin you’d say that. We’ll see. I think there is a cord.
I guess larger diameter PVC/boot/hole makers were in short supply at the time???
Looks like the same guy that engineered the oil filter location on the 05 ford expedition designed that deal.
Let you know how I make out
Thanks as always.
Easy’s right , there usually is a tube in said location just want to add , use wire pulling lube to aid in pulling cable, some times
space is tight and lube will ease the friction…good luck!!

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

There should be a small rope or twine in there. Mine has a ski rope in the tube. If you use it be sure to pull another one in for future use.
Growing old is MANDATORY, Growing up is OPTIONAL!
IF NOT, YOU CAN REMOVE THE BOOT AND FEED A FISH TAPE THROUGH THE RIGGING TUBE
