Any one use a Transom Saver for a long trip, or do you use the motor latch:question:
Transom saver for long trips. Always
I used to use it all the time until I lost it. Didn’t lower the motor down enough to get it tight and when I got home all I had was a piece of cable attached to the pin hanging from the back of the trailer.

Has worked great for me. Easy to use, slips on the trim rams.
I was at a local boat mechanic and was told they are a complete waste of money. Was basically called an idiot for having spent money on such a contraption.
To me it’s perfect. It keeps the motor at the correct angle for trailering and because it’s all on the boat, it doesnt bounce/move around like the other ones.
Thanksfriogatto! That is a pretty neat little thing.
I use mine for all trailoring. Works great. I’m not familiar w any other products.
