Transporting Kayak Question

I travel down to coast to go fishing and I can’t figure out how to minimize the noise in my car that comes from my Kayak being strapped on top to the luggage rack. Positioning seems to be key and strapping. I slide it to the front of the racks as far as I can and this minimizes but the noise is still irritating. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Put some twists in your tie down straps. If they get flat in the wind, they will vibrate and make a ton of noise! That should take care of most noise problems.

“Dude, dolphins are intelligent and friendly.”
“Intelligent and friendly on rye bread with some mayonnaise.”

Fantastic!! It definetly sounds like the straps humming/vibrating.

Thanks
