Caught some menhaden and hoped we’d be golden for some big reds at the jetties. Caught one dogfish there and after trying multiple spots went to the grillage caught a 5 foot shark and a huge stingray. Is there a trashfish slam? Had 2 big fish break offs. Could have been worse, could have been working. Flat calm today

Ha ha those trash fish slams suck for sure ! I had one a couple weeks ago myself it was a dogfish , lady fish and an eel !

No trashfish slam is complete without an oyster toadfish, keep trying though.
Fished 8 hours today inshore only caught 3 fish all day a stingray, catfish, and a gar I’m sure that will compete with your slam

amen to that! one of my last times at sullivans i caught 2 different kinds of pufferfish on my bait rod and a 12-14" toadfish on a piece of blue crab intended for a bonnethead and nothing touched the cut fish intended for a blacktip. 2 puffers and a toadfish could have been completed with the cownose ray that swam by me while casting 
bluefish would have added to it as well.
