Well I went and bought one pack of the Trout Tricks about two weeks ago. I have been testing them and a few other fresh water plastics out with a lot of luck. Fishing styles vary from shakey head, slow retrieve and hold, and fast jerk set. This fish let me know what they want, I just listen. Some days one plastic worked and one didn’t. Today it was the TT.
Bite this afternoon / evening was fun. Fished two hours before low tide then an hour and half after low. Caught two trout on bottom with mudders then turned to the light weight pole for some plastic action. Used the trick exclusively today when plastic was being thrown. Had good luck when I slowed it way down. Sometimes they like the quick retrieve with a fast bite. Sometimes its a slow bite almost a stop and hit.
The lady fish was one of my biggest this year. Hit the Trick with extreme prejudice! If you look close you can see the remaining chunk of the trick floating off. She was released to fight another day. Good times & great fishing!!
