The engine is slowly slipping down in the water, it takes a few hours, then the prop will hold just under the water line. Any help as to what i am dealing with would be appreciated. What do i need to check, replace or fix? Thanks
It might be low on fluid.
I am no authority on the matter though!

Make sure your manual release valve is tight and it could be the pilot valve inside the pump also.

When you tilt the motor up, do you hear a gurgling sound or is there hesitation? If so you have air in the resevoir and are low on fluid
