Trim cylinder leak

Noticed a little oil leaking out of one trim cylinder on starboard motor.Oil looks a little milky. With right tools does cap just come off and put new seal in and screw cap back on or is this a major task.Dont think oil should look milky either.Does kit come with new cap and a seal?Is this somthing I can do myself?Looking at diagram there is a spring does it have a lot of tension on it?The motors are 2002 225 4 strokes.

Its not hard replacing the rod gland seal. Most of the time the worst part of the job is getting the pin out of the clevis. The milky looking oil is probably from air.

Plum Crazy

26 Regulator/250’s

Just replaced ours last weekend. Pretty easy with the right tools. Bleed off the pressure and no problem. Quick fix.

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
