Trim-lok

Where can I pick 10 feet or so of Trim-lok or equivalent around Columbia?

Thanks

Thanks Easy, I thought that’s what he was talking about.

Loon, I’ve got some that I will gift you. It’s a different brand, made by Taco. Good stuff. I’ve got some extra 3/8 and 1/2 in black. I had to buy 25’ rolls to get 4 feet of it. What size do you need?

Trim molding is in the mail, USPS. You should have it on Wednesday. I’ve got a tracking number if it doesn’t show up.

Larry, did you ever get that throttle lock out/limiter, for the boat you built? Be interested to see it and know how it works! Got me to thinking about a new muscle car out! I think it’s a Mopar or Ford, that takes a special key if you want the full power out of it! You don’t give THAT key to the wife and kids!

Yes, and it worked out really sweet. We just put a new 4 blade Powertec prop on it this week, and now need to make some jack plate adjustments to fine tune the throttle stop.

Started with a delrin rod. Milled it and drilled and countersunk it on a lathe…

To accept a standard stainless, stepped position trailer lock…

In place…

Back side has the key lock…

After some more test runs and jack plate adjustments with this new prop, I will probably take a slice off of it, or maybe 2 slices. They could be stacked on as necessary for the kids, or kicked down a notch for the drunks. With the stepped lock notches, the height is adjustable with shims. Worked out well I think and my conscience is clear.

You’re the man! You should patent than it!

Much help from Raymond Martin, he’s the man  If I can think of it, he can make it for me. I do the wood and fiberglass, the painting, wiring and rigging. Raymond does my machine work, welding and upholstery.

Basic, simple and effective. Thats why most good ideas work.

Or you could hide the keys and give everyone a paddle.

Great idea. Trust AND verify.

Larry…thank you very much. Perfect for the application. Will pay this forward.

Heck of a good guy!
