Trim Tab ?

Running in today from past the 60 there was a decent S/SW flow/wave action. Ran pretty good coming in(27-30 mph) in a 23’ CC with a 250 yam 4 stroke. Hit some decent confused water at times and the boat wanted to list to the port side towards the general incoming wave action. Had a couple sketchy digs where the bow got caught in the swell with the listing of the boat and had to back out of the throttle…In this scenario is it best to lower the port side tab or the starboard to run more evenly and counterbalance he flow or tab up and just deal?

Slow down and watch your course!

Appreciate the reply BP…I felt very much safe and in control. Just looking to improve my tab skills and boat’s performance. Reading other advice on line sounds like you can tab down to one side or the other to stabilize your ride depending on which side the waves are hitting you.

Old guys rule:smiley:

use your tabs to level your boat, that’s what they are for
a level boat is a safer boat, regardless of speed
