trim tilt groan (Yamaha F150)

When I trim my motor down, a second after the motor hits the trim rods, a groaning noise is heard for a couple of seconds. This is a 2014 Yamaha 150 4-stroke. I have greased all the fittings I can find but done nothing else. Problem still present. I’ve linked a video of the motor making the sound; sometimes it is louder than what you hear in the video. Any suggestions? Any input appreciated.

That's what I'm thinking. Trim it up and feel the trim rams to make sure they're nice and smooth, then grease'em like they owe you money!

My zuke does the same thing if I don’t keep them greased.

So just grease them externally/manually? I was thinking there might be a grease fitting to keep them lubed up, but I guess not. Might need my wife to do this one. Thanks for the help.

Just put a small dab of grease right On the very end of the trim rods.

Pay no attention to the red circle in this picture, only the Orange ones.
