Busted out of Shem Creek about 5:45 headed for the south side of the ledge to jump off our 2015 season. Beautiful morning and ocean for the 23’ Sea Fox. Lines in at 8:00 200’. Pushed out to 250’ very few flying fish and no grassline. First knock down at 8:30. Worked 250’ to 270’ area with a 73 temp. Went 4 for 7 (short strikes) by 12:00. Pushed out to locate the broken grass line with no luck. Drug the lines till 3:00 trying out to about 400’ with no luck. Ran on in with an awesome ocean. No big numbers but when they are big enough the freezer fills all the same. Good time good guys and back on the trailer with no issues (other than the ice chest) and meat in the box makes for a great trip.
