I am planning a trip with my wife and son to Costa Rica next spring most likely staying in the Gulf of Papagayo area. Any recommendations on fishing guides there? I have found 2 or 3 outfits online that charter multiple boats and will pick up and drop off at the resort. I would like to focus on the inshore species like roosters and cubera and may be bringing a jigging rod with me based on available tackle on the boat. Thanks!

Never be there, but love Costa Rica both Jaco and Qupos! Sure it is just as good there, had one boat years ago that didnt have the best equipment from then on I bring my own inshore 945 with 65 braid and I30w with 30#mono use a peice of 4" light sewer pipe for your rods duct tape ends and keep your reels in your carry on bag, tape a good filett knife to your rods it is hard to find a good knife down there. The people at airport cant understand the reel in your bags and will make you unpack them!Do some reshersh on the boats and guides, and make sure they can get bait( thats another story)
